Argo reviewed, and the time I met a U.S. President

I just watched the film Argo last night and was surprised to learn that both the CIA and Jimmy Carter, the president at the time, somehow had enough restraint not to take credit for the events in the film. Perhaps the political climate wasn’t as poisonous as it is these days. Even though the film is sensationalized, to pull off something like that is still impressive.

King 5 News: Huge Waft of Smoke Rises from Seattle, Store Shelves Empty

SEATTLE–December 6th, As of 4:20 pm today a huge waft of hazy smoke was seen rising around Seattle. Included were surrounding neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, Fremont, Belltown, and the University District. It was later seen over Ballard and Georgetown as well. Local grocery store chains reported their shelves emptying of all Doritos, Pringles, and Cheetos.

The 520 Bridge Toll Is Too High

First of all, I’m all for tolls. It’s a great way to have those that use infrastructure pay for it. But the $5.00 per trip ($3.50 with Good-To-Go Pass) is simply too high and it is causing problems.
