I’m not allowed to like Twilight. And I’ve never read the books. So the fact I saw, and liked, Breaking Dawn should say a lot. In fact, I thought this one was the best of the three movies so far. It was intense, flowed well, and was able to make fun of itself.
[Note: Possible SPOILERS ahead.]
However, there were several places where it seemed this movie was made more for fans of the book than for people who just watch the movies. Example: Imprinting. For a lot of the movie I was guessing what Imprinting was. I guessed (wrongly) that it was something the werewolf did to someone or something else. Specifically I thought it meant peeing. Since werewolves are dogs it made sense to me that they’d mark their territory by Imprinting on it. So yes, I thought Jacob peed on the baby. But with vampire/werewolf fights, hot vampire chicks (and dudes), lovey-dovey relationship stuff, and blood-drinking babies, there’s something in this for everyone (both to like and be annoyed by). But overall, it’s ok to like it. It’s a cultural phenomenon whether you do or not.
